Q. Where should the ad units be placed?

Publishers may place one Mamma Media Solutions ad unit per page of their site, which must appear in the first viewable screen (based on an 800x600 display) without any horizontal or vertical scrolling, above any other ad network's banners. Ads that are placed strategically for the longest view time have been found to attract higher click through rates. We suggest that all publishers running our 468x60 standard banner or 728x90 Leaderboard ads place them at the top of each page in order to maximize performance of ad campaigns served as well as publisher revenue potential.

    Q. What combination of ad units are publishers allowed to serve per page of their site?

Publishers are allowed to serve one of each ad unit available from our network, per page of their site. For example, on one page of a website, a 468x60 banner and a 120x600 skyscraper can be served together. However, please note that two or more of the same ad unit from Mamma Media Solutions served to the same web page is not permitted. For instance, if a publisher is running Mamma Media Solutions' pop campaigns through our 468x60 banner code, he/she is not allowed to run the separate Pop-only code on the same page.

    Q. Can Publishers serve targeted ads to their site visitors?

Yes. When you signup to become a graphic ad publisher, you will have the option to specify your target audience’s demographic characteristics. Based on your selection, you will be served ads that are more relevant to your site visitors, thus enhancing your revenue generating potential.

    Q. What are default ads?

Default ads are Mamma Media Solutions' house banners. They are used in the event that there no paid ad campaigns available at a given time to serve to a publisher's site. Default impressions are common in the online ad industry and are used primarily to due to specific targeting criteria decided upon by the advertiser client, such as frequency capping per unique IP address and geo-targeting, which not all site users meet on every ad impression. Instead of a blank space appearing, our Mamma Media Solutions' house banner (default) ad is shown instead.

    Q. What is the difference between default and default re-direct ads?

A default is an ad, specifically our Mamma Media Solutions' house banner, that appears when no other ad content is available to serve your site. When using a default re-direct, instead of having a Mamma Media Solutions' house banner appear, publishers can opt to use another ad network's codes to earn ad revenue. Publishers may also use a default re-direct to have their personal banner ads served in lieu of using another ad network's codes.

    Q. Can Mamma Media Solutions' ads be used as the default re-direct for an account with another ad network?

Yes, publishers can use Mamma Media Solutions' codes to serve ads as the default re-direct for another ad network. Contact publisher services at publishers@mamma.com to obtain the appropriate codes.

    Q. Can specific ads be removed from the content served to publisher sites?

Should there be an ad served to your site that is causing a negative reaction among your site's viewer ship, or is in competition with your product/service, please contact our publisher services team at publishers@mamma.com. Please provide a description of the ad's graphics and/or product/service it advertises and/or a screen shot of the ad in question, and our team will work to try to eliminate the ad from your account's rotation, if possible.

    Q. Can I get ads to pop up in another browser window?

To have ads open in a new browser window, contact publisher services with your request at publishers@mamma.com and they will modify your account settings for you accordingly.

    Q. Do you support PHP Nuke/Dreamweaver?

Unfortunately we do not support PHP Nuke or Dreamweaver software at this time. However, our HTML code inserted manually into an HTML page will be able to work in conjunction with PHP Nuke or Dreamweaver. PHP Nuke and Dreamweaver software allow automatic page creation, thus you would have to take the result of that automatic creation and insert our HTML codes manually, using a plain text editor.

    Q. Can publishers opt out of receiving pop up ads served through the 468x60 banner code?

Publishers can choose to have pop up ads disabled from their 468x60 banner code by contacting publisher services at publishers@mamma.com with their request. Our Pop-up only code can be used as a replacement on pages where publishers specifically wish to place the code to serve pops without having them bundled with the 468x60 banner code. To obtain ad unit HTML codes, please click on the button, "HTML Code".

However, please note that by opting out of pop ads, publishers will be missing out on a high revenue-generating opportunity. Also note that almost all pop ads that we serve are pop-UNDERS, rather than pop-OVERS, thereby making it a less intrusive ad unit for your users.

    Q. Are publishers allowed to serve ads from another ad network along with Mamma Media Solutions ads on their pages?

Yes, publishers can serve a maximum of one other ad unit from one other ad network on the same page that Mamma Media Solutions' ads are served. However, we ask that Mamma Media Solutions' ads be displayed above the fold at the top of publisher pages to assure maximum exposure.

    Q. What does CPC and CPM stand for?

CPC stands for Cost-Per-Click. Publisher sites will generate this type of revenue when a viewer clicks on an ad unit paying CPC rates.

CPM stands for cost-per-thousand-impressions (M is the roman numeral for 1000). This type of ad unit pays a certain amount for every thousand times a CPM ad unit is displayed. For example, if a campaign is paying $1.00 CPM and your site displays ad units from that campaign 500,000 times, you will earn $500.00.

As a publisher, your site will receive a mix of both CPC and CPM paying ad units, depending on what our advertisers buy in a given month. Mamma Media Solutions offers its publishers a healthy variety of banner and pop-up/under ad units to choose from to maximize account revenue potential.

    Q. Can publishers choose to opt out of receiving either CPM or CPC ads?

Both CPM and CPC ads are served through our publisher HTML codes, thus unfortunately it's not possible to opt out of receiving either kind at this time.

    Q. How much does the Mamma Media Solutions Publisher Network pay?

Publishers get paid a fixed percentage of the ad rates Mamma Media Solutions charges to advertisers, depending on their payment level. Thus, when our sales team receives higher rates from advertisers, we pass these higher revenues on to our publishers. In addition, Mamma Media Solutions does not charge publishers for any ad serving costs.

    Q. How do publishers get paid?

Checks are mailed out on the 10th of every month, 40 days after the end of the month in which the publisher account's total earnings exceed $50.00. The Mamma Media Solutions Publisher Network pays publishers in US currency.

In North America, checks will usually arrive within 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks in Britain and Europe, and up to 4 weeks or more in other countries. Delivery of the check, of course, depends on the quality of postal service in your locality.

    Q. What happens if the minimum payment earnings ($50.00) required for a check to be issued are not met in time?

If your revenues for a particular calendar month fail to exceed the required minimum earnings for a check to be sent out, they will be carried over and added to your next month's revenues and so forth until a balance of $50.00 is reached.

    Q. What forms of payment are available to me?

Mamma Media Solutions offers payments to publishers by either check or PayPal. Upon signup, you will have the option of selecting your preferred method of payment. Click here to apply to our Publisher Network.

    Q. How can I change my method of payment?

You can update your payment settings by logging into your account at www.mammamedasolutions.com. Once in your account, please select the 'Publisher Profile' link at the top of the page. In the 'Payment Information' section you will be able to select your preferred method of payment. IMPORTANT: If any changes are made within 10 days of your payment's mailing date, you will have to contact our Publisher Services team for your changes to take effect.

 Tracking & Statistics

    Q. What kind of account information do publishers get?

With a Mamma Media Solutions publisher account, publishers will be 100% informed concerning their site's traffic and the revenue earned. Publishers will be able to see how many clicks and impressions their site received and what ad campaign their site's traffic responded to. Publishers are also able to view the geographic area their traffic originated from, what time of day visitors arrived at their site and even what type of browser they were using.

    Q. Does your publisher network only count unique impressions/clicks or all traffic?

Mamma Media Solutions Publisher Network counts ALL impressions, that run through the publisher's ad codes, but usually only unique clicks, whether they are for paid ad campaigns or not. If a publisher is using the default re-direct code (i.e. their own default campaign), we still track the impressions accumulated, however no revenue is associated with the impressions served since it is paid for by the publisher's own source. Note also, that while we always track every impression, in some cases we are not able to track any associated clicks for CPM campaigns due to the format of the advertiser's ad codes.

    Q. How often are the statistics updated?

Our statistics are in real-time, which means they're updated every 15 minutes. These statistics are available for publisher use 24 hours a day.

    Q. How does your publisher network track visitor traffic?

Our ad unit HTML code is the lifeline to our publishers and is the means by which our publisher network's fast and reliable tracking system updates publisher accounts with real-time information about clicks, impressions and revenue earned.

    Q. What countries are ads targeted to?

Our advertisers generally geo-target to the North American market, specifically, to the United States. While Canada and the UK are popular targeting choices too in priority, ads are also regularly served to other countries around the world, dependant upon each individual advertiser's campaign specifications.

Q. Is there a contract?

No, there is no contract.

We at Mamma Media Solutions are interested in long-term relationships. Mamma Media Solutions believes that the best way to ensure this is to provide publishers with good service and good payment terms, rather than to ask them to commit with a contract. Our terms and conditions are posted on this site and must be agreed to prior to becoming a publisher.

Q. Does your publisher network accept non-English sites?

Currently the Mamma Media Solutions Publisher Network only accepts English language or bilingual (one of the languages must be English) sites.

    Q. Does Mamma Media Solutions accept publishers who reside outside of North America?

International publishers are welcome to apply for publisher status and can serve ads and send check payment to any country in the world. Please note that we only accept English language sites, and pay out in US funds.

    Q. How many URLs can a publisher have in one account?

You may add as many URLs to your account as you like.

    Q. Do sub domains have to be added separately to my list of validated URLs?

Yes, all sub domains must be validated into your publisher account through the, "Site Profile" page. However, all sub-sites are included and have already been validated.

For example, if your URL was www.mamma.com and you wanted to serve ads on www.partners.mamma.com, you would have to add that sub-domain URL to your account to be validated. You would not, on the other hand, have to submit the URL www.mamma.com/partners, as this address would already be enabled to serve our ads as per your prior submission of the domain, www.mamma.com.

    Q. How long does it take after submitting all information before publishers can start serving Mamma Media Solutions' ads on their pages?

It takes approximately 3 business days for submitted URLs to be quality controlled and approved into the network. Once a publisher site has successfully passed through the validation process, an email notification will be issued out at which point ads can be served as soon as thirty minutes later.

    Q. Who can I contact if I need help?

Our Publisher Services department can be reached to answer any inquiries you may have, from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST, by email (via our contact page) .
